How beautiful it is here!
Seriously:
In the weeks before my break, I was occasionally shaken by strange fears:
'And what if it gets boring?'
I'm not kidding. After all, I'm traveling alone. I'm not taking my TV, nor my couch, nor my work, nor my hobbies, no family, no colleagues....
And so this fear crept up inside me in a Kafkaesque way.
I sit somewhere, look at the clock, wait for time to pass, would love to be in school or with Mum or at the Kurdish bakery in Celle, and I'm immensely annoyed that I'm spending my savings on something that I don't actually feel like doing and that I hope will be over soon. 😳
But lo and behold:
How beautiful it is here!
To quote Stefan Stoppok:
'I'm feeling so good at the moment. My doctor prescribed me antidepressants to get back to normal mood.'
And it hasn't been 'boring' at all, not at all, not at all, no, no, no!
The two weeks of internship were of course not 'beautiful' like visiting a museum, sleeping in, having sex with busty students, or eating soft-serve ice cream.
The 14 days in Berlin-Wedding and the internship in Vienna were exhausting, exciting, sometimes overwhelming, but amazing experiences. And that's what it was about for me.
Other than that, Berlin and I just fit together. That's love! ❤️ I can't exactly say what it is. But that's how love is. You just love something unconditionally: cities, women, football clubs...
On Wednesday, I ordered a new pair of sunglasses from Fielmann at Alexanderplatz.
That wouldn't be worth mentioning if the optician who served me didn't reveal himself as an exiled Sauerländer there.
'Of course I know Franz-Josef! Meschede, Ostwig, Wehstabel, Nuttlar, woll!'
Etc.
The Sauerland is everywhere! And after 13 years at Konrad-Adenauer-Hauptschule in Freienohl, I somehow still belong there for life.
Thursday was nice!
Bine, Bille, Rainer, and I went out!
We were in Neukölln and again realized with amazement that times are changing and people too, but our women are still as beautiful as they were during our internship.
It's so crazy! ❤️
Right now, I'm living in the moment:
I moved out of the high-end deluxe hostel yesterday and now live with Annette and Cord again. Yesterday felt like coming home. 😍
She has a full day of training today, he still needs to work at his desk. And so I'm taking a first walk, buying some rolls, and now sitting in a café telling my day digitally.
Boring? 😂
Not at all!
