Honolua Bay Part 2

Çap edildi: 26.09.2019

As some of you may have guessed, today we are going back to yesterday's Honolua Bay - even a little earlier this time.

Now we already know our way around a bit - and know exactly where we have to swim. The first dive always takes a bit of courage, because in one moment you are clean, fresh and warm, and in the next moment you are salty, wet, and have to get used to a few degrees colder environment. But after the first meters, we are already part of the underwater world and enjoy the moment to the fullest. This time we take a close look at the fish world, which offers us a great change from the ones we have already seen in the past years. But see for yourself in the pictures. This time no one has to be kissed by a jellyfish before "turtle" is announced - I spot the first specimen of the day, one of the larger ones. But our friend quickly disappears into the reef maze and we have to let her go, as the reef in her "escape route" is unfortunately too shallow for us. But she will not be the only one who enchants us - a few minutes later another one appears in our field of view. But just as quickly she disappears into a cave on the seabed - well, then she can play hide and seek. She will probably regret it soon, because it's not often that she will have the honor of being photographed by two ladies from the other side of the world...

So it remained with two turtles and numerous fish species new to us for today, I can already see myself dreaming about all of this...

During my visit to the swimming pool today, I meet my friend Phil again, the lifeguard, who, after I tell him about my surfing plans for tomorrow, organizes a surfboard for me. There are two boards in the storage room of the swimming pool that are occasionally used by the lifeguards and from tomorrow on they will also be available for me to borrow. The board fits perfectly in our Beetle, we just tried it out and now there is nothing standing in our way of surfing tomorrow...

We spend the afternoon here at the house beach, but before that there is a free Mai Tai, because Wednesdays are Mai Tai Day in the holiday resort and it is provided free of charge for the residents. Free popcorn makes this refreshment perfect.

We want to watch the evening sunset from a viewpoint north of us - but unfortunately the sun disappeared behind a veil of clouds very early, so we have to enjoy the great view without a perfect sunset.

Before we finally go home, we make a little detour to various food trucks - not for eating, but just for wandering around and taking pictures. Dinner will be at home, where we will review this eventful day!
