Wow, what a restless night. This time, it wasn't tiny vampires flying around making unpleasant noises, but I was constantly woken up by sounds, scurrying, tap tap tap, inside, on, and around the house. It was coming from the chimney, under the bed, on top of the chimney cover, under the roof... and every time I checked, it was quiet, nothing was moving, just great. I did see a pretty large lizard though. Had a bit of a lack of sleep tonight. In any case, the stranger in the house seems quite interesting :-)
This morning, I had bread with cheese and fried eggs on top, along with my daily 2 frappes for breakfast.
Since today is Sunday and all the Greeks are enjoying their day off, I'm spending most of the day here in the accommodation.
At noon, the landlords will bring me freshly prepared delicacies and in the evening, I invited Eleni, Christina and Stavros to go out for dinner. Let's see where they take me. Looking forward to it. Even though it's already too much food, well, I'll have to fast heavily again when I get back to Germany :-)
I'm slowly counting the last few days I have left here.
Anyway, have a nice, restful and pleasant Sunday.
By the way, I got stuffed peppers, how delicious, hmmmm. And for my mother, a jar of homegrown olives.
Also, today I met Chris, a friendly and likeable police officer, who reminded me of our former friend Kosta from Xrisoupoli.
On the way to the accommodation, I took pictures of the piles of scrap metal in Almyra. We used to be alone here with the locals. And today, they are stacked up on the beach.
The friendship dinner was delicious, nice and a bit challenging language-wise. Unfortunately, I had to find out that our other good friend passed away the day before yesterday (if I understood correctly). I'll have to break the news to my father tomorrow.
Good night.
