Malmö, 08.08.2017

Çap edildi: 11.08.2017

For a change, we spent last night in the tent with three of us: Leon, a bunny, and me. The bunny must have sniffed out our food supply in the porch. Maybe he's already collecting eggs for Easter... When we returned from Malmö City, one of our eggs was broken. Mysterious! But let's start from the beginning. We took the bus to the city center, paying the children's fare (do we still look THAT young?), and first strolled through Kungsparken, an idyllic park right by the water, with a lovely farmhouse garden, café, windmill, and a large playground for children. We then reached the other end where a former castle, now known as Malmöhus, houses both the city museum and an art gallery. Walking past a small fish market, where local fishermen sell their daily catch from small wooden houses (and there was quite a bit of dead fish!), we walked along the sea to a distinctive, 190 meter high tower called the "Turning Torso". From there, we made our way through small alleys into the old town of Malmö. At this point, I am delighted to announce that thanks to Leon's incredible healing powers, we can now cover longer distances on foot again. Lille Torg, the central square in the city center, surrounded by restaurants and cafés, even exudes a slight Mediterranean flair - especially as the weather is really hot today. We managed to secure a nice, shady spot on the terrace of one of the cafés and rewarded ourselves with ice coffee, cappuccino, cheesecake muffin, and a typical Swedish cinnamon bun. "Fika" as it should be. Our path led us back to the bus stop through the shopping street, where the bus came so quickly that we got stressed out when buying the ticket. Honestly, it didn't come to that anymore. And after the bus driver couldn't help us either, we unintentionally became real fare dodgers. No, we're not proud of it, and I think the bus driver knew exactly what was going on. But he turned a blind eye and we were lucky that our hearts didn't jump out of excitement. Exhausted from so much adrenaline, we reached our tent, where we cooked comfortably and prepared everything for the departure tomorrow morning.
