Kurz entschlossen

I spontaneously changed my plans for today's day completely. The weather was simply beautiful - I couldn't spend the day in the museum.

After finally finding the post office, my mission was: On to the zoo! Easier said than done. I had looked up a connection on Google, but unfortunately Google didn't tell me where to go at Union Station. It quickly became clear: I can't do it today without help. And what a miracle - when suddenly you have to ask for directions in English, the words come automatically and I even understood the answers. However, it took me three attempts until I found someone who could really help me. After that, everything went smoothly. However, I had to realize that free WiFi access is much rarer outside the city or simply non-existent on my tour. So I dug deep into my pocket to send Henni a text message (she was supposed to pick me up from the museum). As it turned out later, it was completely useless because the text message didn't arrive...

The Toronto Zoo is really worth seeing and huuuuge. Thank goodness it's winter, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it in one day. I had to hurry quite a bit to see everything. Overall, a very beautiful facility, which also has its charm covered in snow, even if of course many animals were not visible. But there weren't many visitors either.

On the way back, I went directly to the outlet center. Right in the middle of rush hour through the city. As overly friendly as Canadians are in personal contact, they are just as selfish and careless as drivers (it's a real challenge to refrain from using various swear words at this point). You have to experience it. Personally, I had enough of the experience as a pedestrian and passenger.

After another successful shopping tour and a meal at the steakhouse, we made a short stop at Lake Ontario on the way back to enjoy the city skyline at night.
