6th DAY

Çap edildi: 24.10.2022

Another day in our premium accommodation in the middle of nowhere. The day started like a chill Sunday morning with friends...delicious breakfast, a refreshing shower, and watching a nice movie. Idyllic. After spending most of the day like this, it was time for us to explore the area. The best way to do this...shopping. But as Adel Tawil said, this way won't be easy. The way described on Google Maps to the nearest supermarket takes 1 hour. But we thought we could take a shortcut through the nearby forest and completely fool Google Maps. Yes, wrong. We blindly walked along the only narrow path that existed and encountered dead ends one after another. It seems like we got fooled and had to take the longer way after all.

An endlessly long main road with desolate 'cardboard houses' on one side and homeless people on the other. Refreshing. No, seriously...the way seemed never-ending and we walked until we finally arrived at the big 'Superstore'. There, we had to be economical with our shopping once again. But the pricing system is more messed up than some school systems. I didn't understand anything at all. When we arrived at the self-checkout counter, we had to return almost half of the products because their prices didn't match the ones on the signs at all. Bananas, where the price is calculated per pound, or products that only match the indicated price if you buy 6 of them. It was chaos. Can't they just write the price for a product on it?! Terrible, really. Well, it was even more backward at the McDonald's across the street. No category for salad, vegan, and co. Congratulations. If you don't eat meat here, you're put to the test, and if you don't consume any animal products at all, you're practically as good as dead. Well...the cat won't bite any thread.

On the way home, we saw the most beautiful attraction of the whole city again: the elementary school aka high-security prison (I'll spare you the description...just see it for yourself in the pictures above).

When we got home, we cooked pasta with tomato sauce again. With a full stomach and snuggled up in a warm blanket, it's wonderful to fall asleep, Toni thought the same and immediately fell asleep. We ended the day with a horror movie that Toni apparently didn't notice anymore, and a nice dinner.

Another day completed.
