I wake up. It's 5:42 on a foggy Saturday morning in Santa Barbara. You can only hear a car in the motel courtyard and nothing else. I turn my head to the left and see - a wall. I think I'll try the other side and see Flo. He's still asleep, so into the phone and check out what's going on in the world of social media. Around eight o'clock, the two from the neighboring bed also rise and the day can begin.
Then we went to a small nice café to have breakfast. I can hardly dare to say it, but it was the healthiest meal of our trip so far. Afterwards, we strolled through the charming little town on foot and enjoyed being able to enjoy everything without any time pressure. Well, until I didn't feel like it anymore and we drove to the beach.
In the evening, our paths diverged, because I didn't want to go to bed early again, so I drove to a drive-in theater by car. IT WAS AWESOME. You probably don't find it spectacular at all. You pay relatively little admission, eight dollars for a current movie, tune the frequency of the theater into your radio, and can comfortably watch the movie. Super cool!!!
Tomorrow, or rather today, right now, we're heading to Los Angeles. Covering the last miles by car.
