It's 2:31 AM, tired and a little frozen, I pull the blanket up to my chin again. 'Hey Agnes, do you want to watch the Northern Lights?' 'Hmm. Nice.'
If anyone thinks that we actually saw this amazing green here in reality, let me tell you: for our eyes, the Northern Lights were more milky white. Maybe that's also because of the lack of sleep. However, the camera captured it in all its glory and I'm incredibly proud that we managed to get up in the first place. And I'm also happy about it, because at the North Cape itself we also had the chance to observe the Aurora Borealis, but what do we do? We uncork a bottle of wine and fall asleep. But the light compensates us for that in this night. Even in the following nights, despite the clouds, we can occasionally see the green shimmering across the sky.
The next day we visit an incredibly beautiful gorge near #Bøselv, the #SilfarCanyon. The sun gives its all one more time before leaving us for weeks. We hike through the birch forest at summer temperatures and admire the blue water of the Bøselva.
And yes, I couldn't resist and took a lot of pictures.
