Day 10 - Drive to Christchurch

Our journey north continues, today we drove to Christchurch. In the morning we mainly packed and cleaned up the RBNB. On the way we stopped again at the Burkes Pass Gallery. Here you can see some really old cars and buy a lot of antiques (including the cars).

On the way to Christchurch the mountains finally became farm and pasture land. We have now left the heights behind us, but the sea is now right on our doorstep.

Unfortunately there has been a forest fire near Christchurch since yesterday and you could see it from the city. We ate ramen for the evening and went to bed relatively early. The sunset was still very beautiful, unfortunately I could only photograph it from the garage in the garden.
