Daily goal - relax

The view from the patio door is great. Yesterday when we arrived everything was dark, but now this.

The breakfast is delicious and plentiful (the content is a copy of the last hotel, but the quantity is larger). Unfortunately, Ira is feeling worse again today and the Corona test says - positive.

Ira has now gone into quarantine and we went to the pool in beautiful sunshine.

Today's program is to relax. Swim in the 28 degree warm pool,

enjoy the view, read, write a blog, sleep……

Cilaos was founded in the 17th century by slaves who had fled from the plantations to the mountains. Today, around 5,500 people live here. The town is known for its thermal springs and wineries and is a true paradise for hikers, climbers and mountain bikers.

I have no idea what we were thinking when we trusted Kitzmann and stayed here for 3 nights. We are neither climbers, nor mountain bikers, nor ambitious hikers. Hiking is OK, but up here no tour is in the easy category. But who knows what it is good for.

In the afternoon, the three of us went for a walk around the village. You have to get a bit of exercise. Micha had read that there is a kind of shopping street here with around 50 shops.

We actually wanted to eat something straight away, but the restaurants don't open for another 1-2 hours. So Micha buys himself an ice cream and I buy a baguette (from the bakery for €1) and we stroll back home. We still have our purchases from yesterday waiting to be eaten.

We end today's relaxation day with a dodo and hope that we can all be together again tomorrow and that there will be no further dropouts.
