Heyooo,
At 9 o'clock the gentle ringing of the alarm clock sounded. After that, we had breakfast calmly because the two gentlemen we met in Melbourne today were still in bed and partly sleeping. 😴
Afterwards, we got ourselves and Bobby ready for the day and left the campsite around 11 o'clock. We first went shopping at the supermarket and explored the surroundings.
At 1 o'clock, we arrived on the outskirts of Melbourne, parked Bobby, and took the tram into the city based on a good insider tip from T.B. 😇 In Melbourne, there is a 'free tram zone' where you can ride the tram without paying anything. However, our station where we boarded on the outskirts was outside the 'free tram zone' and we would have had to pay. But T.B. said we didn't have to pay for those four stops, we could just black ride - said and done, but everything went well! 😅
We arrived in the city a little earlier than the others and went on a little exploration tour. Half an hour later, we finally met Tim and Ann-Estelle and spent the day together. Tim and I have known each other since we were little children, we live in the same village, and our parents are very good friends. By the way, Tim and Ann-Estelle (his girlfriend) are here in Australia for 'Work and Travel'. 🇦🇺
We took a walk through the city until we found a café where we sat down, ordered something to drink, and chatted a lot. 🗣 After a while, we got hungry and Tim and Ann-Estelle told us about a very good Indian restaurant nearby. So we went to the Indian restaurant and what can I say, the food was really good! 😋 We sat in the restaurant a little longer and continued our conversation. In the evening, we took the tram out of the city and sat by the riverside during the sunset. At 8 p.m., we realized that Mareike and I had to leave because our campsite was still a 40-minute drive from Melbourne. So we drove back to the outskirts, inspected each other's cars, and Tim gave me a pack of his beloved Airwaves chewing gum. Then we said goodbye to each other. 👋
At half past 9, we arrived at our campsite and had the leftovers from yesterday and fresh salad for dinner.
I was really happy to meet the two of them again at the other end of the world. 😊
Warm greetings from Little River, Australia! 🇦🇺
Yours Jojo 💫
