Carillo National Park

This time we slept directly in the national park. The room price included a private guide including night and day hikes. Our guide was simply top notch and extremely likeable. He told us a lot about the animals and plant life in Costa Rica and in general about life here. So we saw different types of frogs again, including poisonous snakes and naturally large spiders. But they are supposed to be harmless. However, the large ants are extremely venomous, which we also heard for the first time. We also told him that we are always on the lookout for sloths but unfortunately have not been successful yet, except for one time. He took five minutes and then showed us one hidden on the top of the tree. To top it off, a tapir came by.
