The Warner Brothers tour starts today at 1:00 p.m. So, as always, everything is made ready to drive again and off we go in the direction of Burbank/LA.
It doesn't take too long to drive there, we even find a parking spot right on the street near the studios. Parked, locked and already Barbie and Ken welcome us in the entrance area.
The guided part of the tour itself is quite informative (if you understand English and can follow the very fast-speaking guide), we drive through the film area in a car designed for about 20 people and can see both the outdoor sets and a studio (even the one where "Big Bang Theory" was produced). Warner also stands for series such as "Gilmore Girls", "Full House", "ER" and "Friends" and of course a number of well-known cinema films. The entire tour (part guided/part self-guided) takes approximately 3 hours.
When we come back to our mobile home, which is not far away, we can already see two traffic tickets in the windshield. So unfortunately it was an expensive parking lot. One for parking in the "red zone" - ok, you could have seen it, a red stripe on the curb, the second for parking without "permission" - apparently you need a special permit for an "oversize" vehicle. **** happens, who cares - you shouldn't think about money in LA and the surrounding area anyway if you want to move around here and see something.
Then we back up the hour and a half down towards Malibu, where we want to spend our last night in the RV. When we arrive, the big surprise "Campground closed". Oh well - no notification, no refund (have reserved and paid for the campsite long ago) and are now standing there at around 6:30 p.m. and don't know where to go. There is already a mobile home with the same problem in the parking lot in front of it. A young Swiss couple who also don't know where to go tonight. (all campsites in the area are apparently still closed due to the storm)
Flo goes exploring the campsite and meets a park ranger who at least allows us to spend the night in the parking lot in front of the campsite. So a not so comfortable last night and the additional problem that we cannot return the mobile home empty (the waste water tanks should be empty, there are usually dumping stations at the campsite).
Nevertheless, we take it easy and pay one last visit to the beach and the Pacific.
