I am particularly looking forward to the 3rd stay in Bangkok. All the important tourist attractions were visited during the first two stops. Now I can enjoy the time and do things that I didn't manage to do before or that were not so important (but probably still a must-do for some).
#1 Finally made it to the Chatuchak Weekend Market. It is one of the largest markets in Bangkok. And here you can get everything. In addition to the usual tourist clothes, there are also normal clothes like from H&M or Zara. This was our downfall because they are really cheap here 😁
In addition to clothes, there are also jewelry, beauty products, dishes, spices and much more...
So rather a MUST in Bangkok :)
#2 Floating Market.
In earlier times, the rivers and canals of Bangkok were the main transport routes of the city and offered farmers the opportunity to sell their goods at floating markets. Nowadays, they are top tourist attractions. We also set off early (7:00 am) to visit a floating market. All tours of this kind start so 'early' because the markets are located about 100km outside of Bangkok and are only open until 12:00 pm. After that, it simply gets too hot. You are paddled through the canals in a small gondola and can look at typical tourist products and of course also buy them :) however, prices are three times higher than usual. Therefore, we only took beautiful photos and enjoyed the boat tour.
#3 Cooking class
Actually a MUST if you have enough time. In the end, I didn't manage to do it because I had to drive to the airport at 5:00 pm due to the upcoming New Year's festival and the class would go until 7:00 pm... but Asian spices are in my luggage and it will be made up for at home 👌
#4 'Boat Tour'
Or simply take a water taxi for 15 Baht and explore the area upstream. The typical tourist attractions are located downstream from Pier No. 13. Upstream, usually only Asians go. But there are a total of 33 piers and thus a long stretch and interesting buildings to see. So if you have a few hours to bridge, like I did on the day of my departure, such a boat tour is a nice and cheap pastime :)
