Sorry sorry sorry !!!
I somehow missed the time to write down our experiences in the last few days and continue the blog, but now there is a little update 😇:
After the incredible Whitsundays Tour, our last real adventure for this trip followed: Fraser Island 🌴
We were in a room with all the people who were on the tour with us, so we got up early at 5 a.m. so that we could all be ready and waiting for our guide at the hostel.
This time we had a little more 'bad luck' because our group consisted of 9 Germans and one Englishwoman.
Nevertheless, in the end it was quite funny. 💗
Anyway, we left with two jeeps to the ferry and from there to Fraser Island. 🚗
The paths through the island were simply a pure roller coaster ride, but it was quite funny to watch all of us jumping up to the ceiling of the jeeps. 😂
After we had stored our stuff at the camp by the sea the next morning, we drove to two incredibly beautiful lakes:
Every day was actually the same. Getting up early, driving off, visiting Fraser, coming back in the evening, sitting together and going to sleep, but the nature and landscape there were simply amazing, it impresses you so much but it is also really a bit of work to get to some nice places. ☀️
The next day we were at a river where you can simply lay down and glide to the end with the current, and at the famous Champaign Pools, which were really impressive. The water there was unbelievably clear. 😦
In addition, you can see dingoes running all over the island:
And on the last day we went to Lake Mckanzie, whose water color our camera really can't capture:
You simply have to see Fraser Island when you are here. It is really an incredibly beautiful place.
For us, the next day we went to Fraser Island for whale watching and the whales swam no more than 5 meters away from us!!
After we left Hervey Bay, and thus Fraser Island, we made our way to Noosa. That was already 4 days ago.
Noosa is an incredibly beautiful city with an impressive national park! We wished we could have stayed there longer ☹️
We are now in Byron Bay, the typical surfer town. 🏄
Byron Bay is really as you imagine it. Super super beautiful, surfers everywhere, and about every second person here walks barefoot and wears the most colorful clothing combinations. Incredibly cool. ❤️💛💚💙
