Good evening :)

Thank you for finding our blog :)

Today we are writing about our day trip through the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro and how Freddy became a captain.

But let's start from the beginning :) yesterday evening we visited Tivat - that's where the collage was taken. Unfortunately, Tivat doesn't have much to offer. An extravagant marina and a really small airport - as well as a ferry to save 30km of road. There's simply nothing more there - except for a gigantic view of the sea.

During our walk through Tivat, we became aware of an offer. Tour through the Bay of Kotor for 15 euros. Freddy immediately thought - sales pitch - But screw it, we'll go for 15 euros. And so we did. We're still alive just before 10 pm today.

We started our boat trip alone and picked up 6 more people at Porto Montenegro, amidst a gigantic light show. On our way, the ship headed towards Kotor - where we were supposed to go ashore. Instead, the shock. NO shore leave - instead about 70 Russians who stormed the boat. Shortly afterwards, a super good animation program.... all in Russian and everyone drunk - that's how it goes. But it wasn't actually that bad, because we were surprised with beautiful views and stops. We were allowed to visit a small island in the bay, 'Our Lady of the Rocks'. The trip continued to a bathing spot with blue water. After a good hour, the captain headed out to sea and showed us the fortifications and a prison island - turned around and we landed in Herceg Novi. 350 steps according to the Russian guide up to the fortress - half an hour's time. Athletic. But the view from the top was worth it. After this stay, it was time to return and the captain called Freddy over. Panic only set in for me when the captain handed the helm to Freddy. A different kind of sinking ships - as there were already several wrecks on the edge of the bay. But in the end, it turned out that we were not going to steer to the starting point where we had started, but also get off in Tivat, as the rough sea did not allow a landing anymore. But we were compensated with a beautiful sunset on the boat.

Lastly, we were able to discover that taxi drivers abroad are mostly rip-offs. So always negotiate with reason and ask everything beforehand - we couldn't do anything about manipulations with the taxi meter.

In short. 15 euros was worth the fun - because we saw the bay and almost all the important places. The tour lasted 10 hours and the only downside were the language problems.

If you have any questions about trips or our hotel or simply other problems with your trip, then write it down in the comment list below. You can also give a like :)

Best holiday greetings
