Why do Indians and most other Southeast Asians not understand that all the garbage they produce should go in the trash can and not on the street or out of the train window? It's very sad how they treat the environment even though it's so simple.
Well, I'll lean back again and dream of the past days that were really relaxing after this first week in India.
On the day of departure in Pune, I had another very comfortable overnight train ride, this time in second class with air conditioning (which, to my surprise, was not set too cold). I had a really good sleep, woke up at 5 o'clock in the morning and arrived in Madgao, Goa around 6 o'clock, relatively on time. From the train station, I immediately went to the bus station, which was about 5 km away, from where it took another 90 minutes by bus to reach Palolem Beach.
Finally, the sea and finally relax, 4 days of practically doing nothing except on the 2nd day, I walked for 1 hour to the right along the beach and on the 3rd day, I walked for 1 hour to the left. It was exhausting in the heat (around 32 degrees Celsius).
Other activities included sleeping, reading, swimming, and occasionally eating. It was really exhausting ;-)
Unfortunately, after 4 days, it was time to say goodbye. There's more to see and do.
In the afternoon, I boarded the last bus back to Madgao, where I also spent one more night.
