There is not much to report, so I'm reporting about food, country and people.
Let's start with the important one, food :D from the supermarket to the burger joint or restaurant, I find it has a slight American style. The supermarket is huge and has a lot of choices (Kaufland or sometimes bigger), after shopping the employees pack the goods in plastic bags, rarely you see people with their own bags. Prices for cheese, sausage and meat are more expensive than with us, the rest is different. They don't know things like bread here, they eat a lot of toast here.
If you go to a café or a pub, you order and pay at the counter, then you look for a seat, the food will be brought to the table. Only in the better restaurants the service comes to the table.
Now the most important one, beer 🍻. The beer is more expensive than at home no matter where. In the pub the beer costs about 8-11$ for 400ml to half a liter, but you can drink it.
The landscape here is beautiful :) A lot of green and a lot of up and down hills. The main roads are OK, but you have to watch out for potholes! If you drive on side roads through the landscape, they are sometimes very bad gravel roads. Good thing I have an all-wheel drive :D
The people here are friendly, helpful and always greet.
Lately I have met a lot of French people, but also a few German and English backpackers who have the work and holiday visa.
Today was the last kiwi picking day, all kiwis have been picked. Next week we will start cutting the branches, let's see how long I will stay here.
Something else about kiwi, you must try the gold kiwi (slightly sweet and slightly yellow inside), I think it tastes better :) It should be available in stores, because the gold season has already ended about 4 weeks ago.
