It's time to stay in one place for a week. I've already discarded the original plan to go to the island.
So, after a kind invitation from a friend, I'm staying in Osaka and living with her parents. A real homestay, with a traditional house, food, and customs.
Shoes off in the guest room.
Special shoes for the toilet - a couple for everyone.
They're always perfectly positioned at the entrance to the fully automated toilet with a heated seat (which comes in handy in cool spring temperatures).
So I spend my time in the kitchen and wonder how to cook with chopsticks and stir in a pot, and I learn a dish here and there and helpful, albeit unnecessary, kitchen utensils - like a sesame dispenser - which I promptly buy and is already on its way to Germany by ship (only takes 3 months - @Susi: there's still a package to come).
In the bike museum, there's an old bike with a hammock as a seat. Pretty smart, I think.
In the port area, there's actually a lighthouse that doesn't fit the picture anymore and definitely can't perform its function anymore, as the built-up area has already expanded.
At the end of our homestay, we had a German/Swiss/Japanese dinner. Very delicious.
Thank you for the Japanese hospitality.
