Marvin just wrote that we have to think ahead for everyone. This especially applies to packing the children's suitcases. What do children of different ages need who will be on the ship first and then in the car and motels the whole time?
Do we even need to bring toys? Wouldn't it be enough for the kids to play with the things they encounter?
Prioritizing right now is to limit luggage. Less is more. :-)
With six people, we will have four suitcases and carry-on baggage. Our grandma will have a large suitcase to herself, while the two older girls will share a suitcase, I will take the baby stuff in my suitcase, and Marvin's suitcase will have additional changing supplies and travel medicine.
The whole thing is made more difficult, of course, by the fact that we need different things on the ship than later.
Walking around the ship with outdoor clothes and practical trekking sandals will probably still be unavoidable.
However, I will still bring a dress for each of 'us women'....
I have devoted special care to preparing the travel medicine. Sunscreen, insect repellent, wound dressings, something for pain relief, for fever, tick removal kit, disinfectant, allergy emergency kit, and of course children's band-aids ;-) ...
I hope we won't need much of that....
That's it for now.
