Day 19-23: Bangalore, India - a few days off

ప్రచురించబడింది: 04.02.2018

Bangalore - a city that has less attractions to offer, but still we liked it very much. It was convenient for us that we didn't have a tight schedule here, because the past weeks were quite exhausting.

We enjoyed the perfect weather with about 25 degrees and dry heat. Our hostel (Panda Hostel) was definitely a highlight. We met many people, mostly from different regions of India, but also from other countries like France, Denmark, and Germany. Many people came here because Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India.

During the day, we strolled through the streets and visited some sights. We also noticed the countless number of scooters.

We spent the evening with the people from the hostel. It's interesting how different everyone's stories can be. One person moved here for work, another person is studying here and didn't want to look for an apartment. Another person just came back from a trip through Asia with a friend who is in a wheelchair. The development of a new app and self-discovery missions in an ashram were also part of their stories. And many more stories... And there we were, in the middle of it all.

We used tuk-tuks, which can be booked cheaper through the app "OLA" to prevent rip-offs, to get everywhere. "Small but mighty" describes it quite well.

We also tried a lot of different food in Bangalore. Among other things, we made a trip to the Foodstreet. As the name suggests, there was a lot of food here.

We can highly recommend Lassi, a kind of yoghurt drink with fruits, to anyone who visits India. It's better than anything comparable in Germany.

A visit to the botanical garden was also a must. Here we also came across some interesting statues.
