Mitford Sound

After my skydiving, we continued driving 300 km to Mitford Sound. Until Te Anatau, the landscape was very flat, but about 50 km before Mitford Sound, we entered the mountains again, in continuous rain and fog. At first, we wanted to take a boat tour that would take us to various waterfalls, but we decided against it due to the bad weather.
The next day, we drove through the foggy valley again. Huge waterfalls were coming down from the towering mountains on both sides. We took a few photos, but the rain quickly drove us back into the car. After spending the afternoon in Te Anatau, we continued driving towards Invercargill in the evening.
In the morning, I discovered a small cave that I wanted to explore. The small cave turned out to be not so small. I entered through one of the three entrances. After about 200 meters, you could reach the second entrance via a pile of rocks. However, I wanted to go to the third entrance. To do that, I had to crawl through the pile of rocks from entrance two. It continued like this, sometimes on all fours, sometimes upright, until I eventually came to a lake that blocked my way. But since I didn't want to turn back, I pressed myself against the wall and pushed past the lake with my phone as a flashlight in my mouth to have my hands free.
After my cave trip, we continued to Invercargill, where I planned my trip to Stewart Island.
