Day 23: Okiato - Auckland

ప్రచురించబడింది: 01.10.2018

Today's breakfast is once again really delicious. I pack my things and say goodbye to Gary. Paula is so kind and drives me down to the ferry. Very kind! I'm going to Opua by ferry. From there, I have to walk up the hill for about a kilometer. However, I have an hour to do that before my bus leaves. The bus is already 10 minutes late. It will take another 30 minutes until we reach Auckland. I'm supposed to meet Andrew there, who will take me to the hotel, but first I enter the wrong address in my GPS. It takes a while for him to find me. The hotel complex is huge. It even has a pool, spa, tennis court, and much more. Tomorrow is already my last day here in New Zealand. On Wednesday morning at 12:55 AM, I will board a plane to Singapore. I will spend two more days there before flying back to Zurich. Tomorrow, I'm going to Waiheke Island. There, I will go ziplining and take a little hike.

As I examine my room more closely, I notice something strange about it. There is a suit in the closet, several board games, an eau de toilette and a men's deodorant in the bathroom, and golf and tennis equipment in a corner. I explore the room further and discover several books. In one of the books, there is a note that I assume is a plane ticket. I check it and my suspicion is confirmed. With the help of this plane ticket, the mystery is quickly solved. It seems that Andrew normally lives in this room and rents it out from time to time.
