Day 52 - Jakarta, Indonesia (03.03.2020)

ప్రచురించబడింది: 03.03.2020

Since we only spent two days on stopover in Indonesia's capital, we didn't really see much of the city. However, the city feels even louder and busier than Bangkok. On our drive from the airport, we could partially see the slums next to the train tracks and the massive waste problem that the city is suffering from.

Three days before our arrival, many areas in Jakarta were partially flooded due to heavy rains, and several people lost their lives. The weather has only slightly improved since then, and strong rainfall is predicted for the next few days.

We were especially grateful for our apartment, which we mainly used for doing laundry and planning our further travels.

We have decided to travel slower and stay longer in one place to let all the experiences and impressions of the past few weeks sink in.

Therefore, we will spend three weeks in Bali and plan our further travel route more precisely from there.

Of course, we will also report about our time in Bali on this blog.

Until then, greetings to Germany!

Bianca and Michael
