Arrival at my first workplace

My phone rings and it's Amber, my first employer in Canada. She and her husband had a meeting in Edmonton and they are picking me up now.

And here they are, quickly grabbed my stuff and off to the car.

Since they are hungry, we are going to a Thai restaurant in Edmonton Mall. The Edmonton Mall is very famous, it is the largest mall in all of Canada. Amber and Perry invited me. They make a very lovely impression and I am looking forward to the drive and also to staying at the Black Cat Guest Ranch, which is near Hinton.

The drive takes a few hours and the weather changes from rain to snow. My first snow this year :) and it is quite cold already.

I was introduced to everyone who lives and works here, there are currently no guests. The ranch will remain open until the end of October and then it will close for the winter until the end of April.

Tomorrow, two other Workawayers will leave the ranch and for now I am the only one from outside.

And tomorrow at 10 o'clock is my first day of work :)
