5 nights by train through Canada: from Vancouver to Toronto

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 13.06.2018

8.6. - 13.6.

For 4 days and 5 nights (we started in the evening), we traveled by train from Vancouver to Toronto, spanning across Canada.

We had a really great and relaxing time! The scenery is breathtaking, especially through the Rocky Mountains! We even saw a wolf and two moose! Really cool!

In Jasper, we were able to take a short break and explore the town a bit. But other than that, we pretty much traveled non-stop. There were a few short breaks to get some fresh air for a few minutes.

Since Markus and I were pretty much the only ones traveling the entire distance from Vancouver to Toronto, we were assigned the task of opening the door in case of emergency! We received a short training session and then the 'DOOR' sticker was already stuck on our seat! Phew, thank goodness there was no emergency.^^

Traveling by train is probably the best way to travel for Markus and me! (At least for short distances)

Because when you sleep sitting up for 5 nights, surrounded by young children and snoring people, without a shower, running out of food soon, and hardly moving at all, the image changes a bit.

Unfortunately, we were delayed on the way due to other trains and ended up with a 14-hour delay in Toronto. So instead of arriving at 9 am, we arrived around 1:30 am.

Because the train company didn't have much understanding for our situation, and the train station closes overnight, we are now sitting here with 10 other travelers from all over the world at Tim Hortons, with coffee and a few bagels, waiting for the day to begin.
