Monday til Saturday 18. - 23.11.: After losing 9 hours on my flight east, I arrive in Sydney in the afternoon. I take the train to Sutherland Shire, were I am staying with a lovely friend, Sandra. On Tuesday she shows me the surroundings with Watamolla Beach, Bald Hill Lookout and Seacliff Bridge. We also drive through the Royal National Park, the oldest one in the world after Yellowstone. Luckily, the winds are kind and don't blow the smoke of the bush fires towards us. On Wednesday I take the train into Sydney and do the tourist program with the hop-on-hop-off bus. It's a great day and I really enjoy strolling through The Rocks, having ice cream on Bondi Beach and walking through the Botanical Gardens. On Thursday Sandra takes me to the Blue Mountains. We are very lucky, because when we leave, there is a lot of smoke from the bush fires blown in with the wind. As we get to the Blue Mountains, it clears up. So we can enjoy the views and do a short hike. Only in the afternoon the smoke gets there. Thursday I actually wanted to leave for Sydney and stay there in a hostel, but I'm feeling a little tired and worn out, so I treat myself to a chilled day on the couch and another night at Sandra's beautiful place. That was the right decision, as on Friday, I feel fit and full of energy to leave for Sydney. Sandra thank you so much for your great hospitality, it was wonderful! ❤️❤️❤️
