The past few days we have been chilling out 😁 After saying goodbye to the nice Villaggio Campeggio Riso ... Hasta la Pasta, we headed to Costa Rei! After Mallorca, the 18th state of Germans!
The anchorage was almost full with mostly German water sports enthusiasts. On the first evening, the generous Capitaniño invited us to dinner at the campsite's own restaurant. After being on a diet all day, except for breakfast, I had put together a protein-rich meal, with fish as an appetizer, main course, and side dish... 🤔 That was the plan, which was clearly ruined by our until then welcome Italian waiter when taking the order. Already when taking my appetizer, he shook his head with a pitiful look in the menu and said that the dish I had chosen was unfortunately not available. No problem - I was prepared and immediately mumbled my alternative wish in the roughest Italian towards his digital notepad. 'Non-non, scuzi, chiuso domenica...' 😟 I was no longer receptive, so mentally destroyed I was already, but the Admiral explained to me that my alternative was also not available because the 'restaurant' would be closed on Sunday... 😠 I looked at the waiter in disbelief. He didn't look at me! He just looked at the menu and pointed to 'Verdure griglia', which was still available! Dude! I want fish!!! 😡 No vegetables!!!!! Understanding and generous as I am, I waved OK and already wished him death in order to quickly express my main course wish! After he also had to deny this AND my alternative with a 'Finito', I was so pissed off...
To my dissatisfaction, we agreed on a local fish that was probably still swimming in the cooler. 'If that was OK', he asked in mediocre English. 'If he wanted to die now or later', I asked myself in my thoughts! But he topped it off by offering to fillet the fish for me - the Admiral translated again, because as I said, I was done for today - 'For ME, it's no Problem' he repeated MULTIPLE TIMES! 😡 'Man, your family will be next', I resisted and tried not to completely spoil the evening mood. Of course, I didn't let him help me and picked some fish bones out of my crunching teeth during the main course!
As a tip, he got one euro. 'That is for your dead eyes for the ferryman!', I THOUGHT to myself and we left the place quickly after the main course! (By the way, the Admiral was satisfied with her ordered ravioli. The Captain was chewing on dry bread again and couldn't be bothered anyway...
I went to sleep hungry...
The next day we relaxed at the anchorage!
The following day (I had spared the waiter's life) we sailed further north along the coast towards Arbatax and stopped in a cozy bay for a small fee. From here we explored the rugged coastline, took a bike ride on land, strolled over rocks, and enjoyed the most Sardinian corner of the island! Starting today, the Captain is working on the development of his second tooth and sometimes shows some imbalance... We sailed a bit further north and are now anchored in front of the gates of Arbatax and Tortoli, where we have planned the crossing to the mainland on the 31st. After today's mood of the Captain, the next few days will definitely be 'fun'... We will see... Ahoy!
