Bathing, fishing and lounging in the sea

After covering 200km earlier today (now 450km away from Cairns), we had a coffee at the new campsite in Bowen first. The new place is right by the sea and in sight we have the Whitsunday Islands.

Then we made ourselves comfortable on the beach. Hansi's first fishing attempts ended with moderate success. But he says tomorrow there will definitely be fish!

What might be worth mentioning is that the sun sets here at 6pm. That's why we will become early risers here. Because when it's dark, you should rather not drive on the roads, otherwise you might take a kangaroo with you. Unfortunately, we have already seen so many kangaroos on the road... Those who know my car and me are also aware of my 'talent'...

Tomorrow we will stay here and think about where to go the day after tomorrow.
