Day 24/29 - Cape Town

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 08.02.2024

The morning started with the sound of the sea and a view of the waves. Well, we could get used to that 🌊🤩 After yesterday, we didn't really notice the problem with the ash, but today, after half an hour, we already had super black feet, so we immediately made an appointment with the cleaning lady. But you can't see the ash on the floor at all. Last night, of course, there was load shedding, which we somehow completely forgot about. With only one lamp and two flashlight apps on nearly empty phones, we had dinner, everyone took a shower, and we unpacked the suitcases. It was an adventure.Today it continued the same way, because shortly after getting up, we first had only cold and then no water at all 🙈 Well, that's South Africa for you. After a short exchange with the hosts, we learned about a water pipe break in the town and started walking towards Cape Town.
We visited Sea Point, took a short lunch break there (with delicious ramen and bao) before heading to Woodstock and the Old Biscuit Mill, a cute area with great little boutiques. The kids took turns napping and we got lost in a boutique, buying what felt like half the store and keeping the nice saleswoman occupied for a good two hours 🙈 A great place and a super nice afternoon just for us parents 😍 The summer wardrobe is definitely ready. So, as far as we're concerned, the weather can quickly improve at home too 🙏🏼

If we have enough time, we will definitely visit this wonderful place again ☺️
