Day 19/29 - Stellenbosch

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 07.02.2024

The morning started relaxed for the two of us in the morning sun in the garden, as our late riser children slept for a while 🙏🏼😌 Our day started with a coffee and a fight 😂 Basti against a chicken. The cheeky chicken really wanted to get into our living room and didn't let Basti scare her away. Briefly moved to the side, Basti sat down again, then the chicken picked up speed again for a new attempt 🐓 but in the end it moved on to the neighbors to try it there.
Today the motto was: Il dolce far niente - the sweet act of doing nothing ☺️

We went to a winery (Spier) and enjoyed our time together here so much. It is a huge area that is beautifully laid out. There is a playground, a restaurant, a market, a huge picnic area and a shop where you can buy drinks and food for a picnic. You're starting to get the impression that we're going on a food trip 😂 That's true too... good food makes We were very happy 😍 In the restaurant there was brisket from the in-house butcher shop from the smoker. Anni ate about a portion and we shared the rest 😂 We also had delicious home-made wine. We particularly like the Syrahs here. Despite temperatures well over 30 degrees, it was really easy to endure the shade of the huge oak trees that are everywhere here.
Afterwards we went for a walk, browsed the shop and went to the playground. There was a small water corner for Anni and then some delicious ice cream🍦In the shop we got a few treats for dinner.
At home we all went into the pool to cool down again 💦We are now enjoying the warm temperatures more and less before we go to our last stop south of Cape Town and we have temperatures around 20 degrees again 🌡️
Addendum to yesterday: Anni always has great sayings. Yesterday when she got out of the car she said: “Mom, I’m living my best life” 😂 So we must have done everything right here 😄❤️
