The anticipation is growing...

I have successfully arrived in Fez and am waiting to meet Mama and Yassine in a few moments. What a unique... somehow surreal experience...!

April 17, 22:20 Moroccan time: The time has come - Mama is here!

Shortly after, our taxi arrives, along with Yassine. I have been to Yassine's family house last time, where my Morocco trip started and ended 2 years ago. This time we are staying in his new house, which I saw as a ruin 2 years ago. It has now become a large, bright Moroccan-style apartment, where each of us has our own room. It still doesn't have doors, but that's all part of the experience. :)

I am deeply grateful that everything has gone so well so far and still feeling quite overwhelmed. I didn't sleep much, due to the 2-hour time difference, sunlight, and the mix of sounds from dogs, birds, and roosters, I was already wide awake at 6 o'clock.
