Mallorca in July 2020...

We are often in Mallorca and love the island. Being in Mallorca feels like being at home. I rarely have this feeling and that's why I am often there and enjoy it.

In this crazy year 2020, we took the opportunity to fly to Mallorca. Since it was extremely difficult this time to get the usual flights from the usual airport, we flew from Tegel this time. The connection from Leipzig Central Station is perfect. One hour by ICE to Berlin Central Station and then by taxi to Tegel. This way we also had the opportunity to fly from Tegel Airport again and say goodbye at the same time.

When we arrived at Palma Airport, we quickly passed through the unfortunately very empty airport and drove with our rental car towards Palma. Tradition is to have breakfast in the beautiful old town of Palma.

As always, we stayed in Santanyi. The area around Santanyi is one of our favorite regions on the island. Santanyi is one of the most beautiful places on the island for us and is the perfect starting point for tours in the area. In addition, most of our favorite restaurants on the island are located here. I will be happy to come back to a special highlight later.

If you have never been to Santanyi, you must get to know the city at every time of the day. We like to jog early in the morning. If you're lucky, it's one of the two market days. It's so much fun to watch the hustle and bustle of the traders while running. At the end of the jogging course, you can have a Cortado on the Placa Major. By the way, the market days are always Wednesdays and Saturdays. You must have experienced these in the hustle and bustle. Here you can get everything you should take home as a souvenir.
