Costa Rica_Manzanillo & Ganduca National Wildlife Refuge

Not far from our accommodation in Manzanillo, there is a nature reserve that only requires a donation, the amount of which you can determine yourself. There we were able to spot howler monkeys in the trees and many small crabs hiding in holes everywhere. Torben and Mia went a bit further than Ida, Lea, and I. The path with roots and inclines was not so easy for Lea, so we had to turn back. Still, we enjoyed our little hike.

In Manzanillo itself, there is a great beach with small coves where the children can swim and shaded areas, as well as a beautiful coastal path. There, on the advice of a local, we spotted sloths in the trees and small iguanas on palms...
