Keschi visiting Bali

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 18.02.2017

Just said goodbye to Keschi:(

It was really nice having you here my love and having you accompany me on my journey

For the first 3 days, we stayed in Ubud. We bought a lot of jewelry at the market and had delicious food. We walked the ridge walk through the rice terraces, visited the Monkey Forest, and went to the Tegalang Rice Terraces and Tirta Empul Temple.. after that, we went to the island of Nusa Lembongan. It took about an hour from Ubud to the harbor and then another 30 minutes by boat. The island is beautiful, as is the beach there. Prices are slightly higher than in Bali. Taxis, in particular, are expensive in Bali (compared to Southeast Asian standards). Either you rent a moped or you have to take a taxi..

Later, we went to the small island of Nusa Ceningan. It is connected by a bridge. It was even more beautiful here. With a blue lagoon, a small beach, and still very non-touristy.. We just chilled here for 3 days:) The last few days we were in Canggu and Seminyak. Canggu is very cool and trendy with a surfer culture. Very relaxed. We didn't like Seminyak at all. Not a nice beach and only expensive Western shops. You don't feel the Bali atmosphere there anymore. Even the famous Tanah Lot Temple is not worth it. The entrance fee of 4€ is totally exaggerated! 1000 tourists and we were there early in the morning.. at low tide, it's not nice to look at and I don't think it's worth it even at high tide. That's just my opinion..

The best thing here is the healthy food, which looks and tastes so good. The really traditional food here, like Nasi Goreng, I find rather bland.. . I'm curious to see how it will be on Java and possibly Flores.

Tomorrow I'm going to the Bali silent retreat for 6 days. 6 days without talking and no internet. No phone, no Instagram, just time for myself. I'm curious to see how I'll manage:) But I'm really looking forward to it. With 2 yoga sessions and meditation each day, hot springs, a temple with holy water, vegetarian organic food from their own garden. That's supposed to be the best there. 3 times a day a huge buffet with smoothie bowls and fresh soups, delicious rice dishes. Well, I'll report back afterwards. As soon as I have internet again:) I'll stay there until 27.2. and then it's off to Singapore. See you soon...
