Welcome to Sweden ❤️🇸🇪

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 19.07.2023

We made it! After 8.5 hours, we arrived today at the Gislövsläge port in Trelleborg (SWE). We set three records: the longest distance (38 nautical miles), the highest top speed (6.7 knots), and the best conditions (great wind, no rain, no special issues or incidents). We're quite proud 😊

We prepared ourselves well yesterday in Klintholm and spent several hours repairing and optimizing the mainsail. It was definitely worth it. This morning, we set off again at 7 am and were able to admire Denmark's impressive cliff coast along the way.

The harbor in Klintholm was really great. We even found a street food market and a fantastic ice cream parlor. However, the Danish port was very crowded on both days. By midday, there were no more available berths, and in the evening, the boats were partially moored four boats deep. So, note to self: arrive early in Klintholm.

Here in Trelleborg, we're only staying for one night. Tomorrow, we'll continue to Ystad. The new itinerary is now set: the final destination of our sailing trip by boat will be Karlskrona. We will focus on the beautiful Hanö Bay next week, which also has typical Swedish archipelagos and interesting cities. In Karlskrona, both of us will leave the boat and travel to Stockholm by train for three days, where I will then take a flight to Hamburg. At the same time, Dirk will arrive in Stockholm and drive back to the boat with Benny to start the journey back home.
