SAFARI IN KRUGER NATIONAL PARK (8.7.19)

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 22.09.2019

Early Bird! Today we had to get up at 4:30 and were then taken to Kurger National Park. After a 5-hour drive, the arrival at our lodge was already an experience. The lodge is directly adjacent to Kruger National Park and you can already encounter monkeys and antelopes on the premises. During lunch, we watched two bold monkeys deliberately jump over the terrace to grab the sugar packets next to the coffee machine. That alone was worth the whole trip and a great sight.

In the afternoon, we went on our first safari and one impressive animal followed the next. On the first day, we were able to see three of the Big Five, the elephant, buffalo, and lions. We only need to see leopard and rhinoceros now. We observed the lions as a male tried to hunt the cubs that were not his own. We also saw antelopes, zebras, giraffes, and much more. You'd better see for yourself!

Dinner takes place at a campfire in our hotel. I tried kudu, a type of antelope. I didn't particularly like the taste, and above all, it feels strange to eat an animal that you have just seen and still have a vivid image of. After all, when you eat a Wiener Schnitzel, you don't imagine the cute little calf in the meadow.
