Day 3: White Beach

This morning we were woken up by the unusual sound of roosters. After getting up, we enjoyed delicious waffles with fruits for breakfast in the garden of the Guest House, under the shining sun. Since we knew that it will be a long drive to Fort Myers Beach, we stocked up on self-made giant sandwiches at a supermarket. Our first stop was at the old railway bridge, where we tested the water temperature at the White Beach. The water felt surprisingly warm. After that, Sabrina tried her first driving attempts. And behold, it went well as long as there was only one lane available. With three or more lanes, it got a bit hectic. After a short stop at McDonald's, we drove through the Everglades. During the drive, we spotted plenty of crocodiles, turtles, and various water birds in the water along the road. After a 2-hour stop at an outlet, we checked into our hotel in Fort Myers Beach and now we are heading to the bar for a long drink.
