Charge batteries

Another disastrous night. We actually didn't expect that because we were really exhausted... our batteries just felt empty this morning. We trudged to breakfast in silence and ate. Everyone lost in their own world. We then contacted the very kind man at reception to book a guided trekking trip for tomorrow. We also asked if he could book the night bus for us tomorrow evening, which would then take us to Ha Long. He was very helpful and sorted everything out for us. He also offered that we could shower in the hotel after the trekking tour and that we could store our things here until then. He explained to us that starting tomorrow they were closing the hotel for 10 days and taking a “winter break.” We were wondering why some of the village here seemed deserted.

Afterwards we went back upstairs and just went back to bed. We initially failed in our attempt to plan the next few days and gave up. Nina used her short-term motivation to take care of her dirty toiletry bag and its contents. About an hour later she had to recover from it. Our leftover pizza from yesterday was our lunch. And so we lay in bed, together and completely flat, unable to make it out.

In the late afternoon we felt like strolling around a bit. Ronja found a new quilted jacket for the equivalent of €15 and Nina found 4 cute place mats for the same price. We also bought 2 pretty bracelets. On the way back to the hotel we saw a restaurant and had a delicious meal. We want to eat there again tomorrow.

“Nina, I have a new jacket!!!” - “Yes, have you taken that with you too?” - Ronja: “oh..” and turns around to get the bag..

The evening was as quiet as the day. Equipped with Oreo, Toffifee and Kitkat, we put on a romantic film and snuggled up. That was good!

We are looking forward to the tour tomorrow and are going to sleep now.

Until tomorrow

Ronja & Nina
