Today we started our boat tour to the Great Barrier Reef. We had already booked this snorkeling tour through the Greyhound office. So that we can take some memories of this experience with us, we rented an underwater camera.
The boat/ship was quite big and it had space for over 100 people. There were a lot of instructions and information about the day, and then the boat set off to the Reef. There were 2 stops that day. The first one was around half past 9. There we could snorkel for about 3 hours. The underwater world was really special! The different colorful fish were impressive! But unfortunately, the corals were not as colorful as I had imagined... After snorkeling, we had a super delicious lunch! I haven't eaten this well in the past 4 weeks! 😝
After lunch, we were taken to another spot. From the boat, you could already see the different water depths and the reef was sometimes so close to the water surface that snorkeling over it was not allowed. There were also beautiful fish to see there!
After snorkeling, we had some snacks and a glass of wine for the return journey 😉
