Arthur's Pass

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 28.01.2019

After the Abel Tasman Track, we traveled along the West Coast. Among other things, we stopped at the wonderful Lake Rotoiti to dip our feet in the water and read a bit.

We spent a few days in Westport where we met up with friends from Gisborne. We walked along Cape Foulwind and saw a seal colony.

We also went to the beach even in less good weather.

We visited the Pancake Rocks, funny rock formations that look like stacked pancakes.

Since the next two days - for the rainy West Coast relatively good - weather was forecasted, we decided to drive through Arthur's Pass. We took a short hike here to the Devil's Punchbowl waterfall. But as the weather continued to deteriorate, we decided to drive to a campground and spend the rest of the afternoon there.

The next day, we drove a little further and took another short hike. But mainly, we lay in the meadow, played Sudoku, and tested our new kite.

In the evening, we drove back to the West Coast. This trip was worth it just for the beautiful views during the drive.
