While writing this blog post, I am currently on a plane from Doha to Perth.
Qatar is 11,400 km2 in size and has 840,000 inhabitants. It is an independent state in the Arab League, the capital of which is Doha with 400,000 inhabitants. The country's wealth is oil.
The airport - Hamad International Airport - was recently completely renovated.
Arriving in Doha at a pleasant 18 degrees, we were directed straight to our connecting flight.
Once we reached our gate, we only had to wait for about 8 hours...
Easier said than done.
When we arrived back at C, we went in search of something to eat and ended up at BurgerKing, as you could still pay with euros there.
After eating, we made our way back to gate C11, where boarding took place and we prepared for the nearly 12-hour flight to Perth.
There, once again, we had to take out our papers and present everything. Here, unlike in Frankfurt where I had to take out everything and even open my suitcase, they simply waved me through, and wouldn't you know it - no beep or any other signal and yet I still had to be checked again after the screening.
This also went well and we were able to look forward to the new flight.
See you soon
