Portugal - Lisbon and the northern coast

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 13.11.2018

Good evening :)

Arrived with Ryanair and with plenty of delay we reached Lisbon. Quick to the hotel and resting was on the agenda. On the first full day we visited the old town and went from there to the Tower of Belem. A long walk - which showed us not only the beautiful sides of Lisbon. Graffiti on the walls everywhere, but a brilliant contrast with the promenade. Beautifully embedded in the fog, we were able to take several photos here. It cleared up around noon and we could enjoy November at 20 degrees :) Of course, a ride on the colorful tram was a must.

The next day we picked up our rental car and drove towards Sintra. Made a brief stop - took a few photos and continued to the westernmost point of Europe :) great view. It was just something.

Then we continued along the coast to Nazare, where the Big Waves are. Unfortunately, we couldn't see any - but we did see a beautiful sunset at the lighthouse.

Oh, and important for drivers. Do not drive too fast in cities with control signs - after about 800 meters there is a traffic light. If you were too fast, it will stay red for a long time....:D

And one more thing - if you don't take the first exit in the roundabout - you have to take the inner lane. Otherwise, accidents can happen quickly ;)

After that, we decided to stay overnight in Coimbra. Beautiful old town with lots of stairs. Definitely worth a visit here.

Tomorrow morning we're heading to Porto.

See you then :)
