Nordkap - Stage 24

From Norttälje, we continue to the northwest, not directly along the Baltic Sea coast, especially to be able to stay on small roads. This takes us to the Swedish province of Uppland, where we are surprised to find that we are riding on flat terrain like at home in the Hessian Ried. But we also have to ride the winding and hilly roads with occasional steep climbs.

In total, we ride through less populated land, mostly agricultural land, mostly meadows and grain fields and of course forests in between.

In Österbybruk, we are assigned a small island ("only tent") on the campsite, which is located very idyllically by the lake. Hanna's first swim in a Swedish lake this year becomes a bit hectic when 2 seagulls attack. Splashing doesn't help, so dive underwater and swim back quickly!
