Day 12 - Cup Noodle Museum

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 22.04.2023

There is nothing specific planned for today, we visited the major attractions on the first day.
I think most people are familiar with instant noodles - the noodles in a cup or small plastic packaging. The original brand 'Cup Noodles' comes from Osaka, and since Mark fell in love with these noodles on this vacation, we decided to check out the whole experience. We don't have high expectations, and we are not disappointed. I mean, it's a museum for instant noodles in a plastic cup. We shouldn't expect a deep history, but it's quite funny. All noodle box products are displayed on the walls in chronological order on a timeline. There are quite a few that we have never seen in Europe. Since we didn't make a reservation, we can only paint our own noodle box and choose the filling according to our taste. We receive an inflatable bag as packaging, in which we can put the noodle box. This way, nothing can break and everything stays intact. The Japanese love their plastic and package everything at least once, and then it is packed again in a plastic bag.
History

Since we are in the city of instant noodles, I treat myself to a soft serve ice cream with caramel and chicken ramen noodles. It tastes better than it sounds.

To reach our destination for the day, we decide to climb up the mountain to an observation deck and see Osaka from above. When I reach the top, I am amazed. There are buildings everywhere as far as the eye can see - or until the view is blocked by the smog of the city.

Once again, I realize how quickly time flies while hiking. So we have to start descending and go back to Dotonbori to experience the hustle and bustle. We will be heading to Hiroshima early tomorrow morning, it will take us over 2 hours and we don't want to come back late in the evening.
