Penguins

Today we are going to the main attraction here in Ancud. The penguins.

My hostel offers a tour, but it is too expensive for me, so I choose another agency in the city the day before. Unfortunately, I am the only one there in the morning. That means there will be no tour. I am naturally very disappointed. At the tourist information, I find out that I can also take a public bus there. The bus takes the passengers directly to the beach. There we are already expected by the boat driver. Everyone who gets off here wants only one thing. So now we are a group and set off. It is great to see the animals and the nature/landscape. I am glad that I made it here after all.

On the way back, I am lucky again. The bus does not leave at 5 p.m. as feared, but directly after we are back on land. So I also make it to my bus to Castro at 4:30 p.m. in Ancud.

By the way, I saved more than half compared to the tour at the hostel in this way.
