Today we went to the city hall again. I went there with Sabrina, another German who is also doing a working holiday and works at the hostel. She was glad that I was there because she doesn't speak Japanese. The guy at the counter was also a bit overwhelmed and first ordered someone who can speak English by phone. It probably would have worked in Japanese too, as the forms are always the same. However, I had the impression that he had no idea what to do. So now we had a translator on the phone who asked everything that I had already filled out on the form. Well, after a good hour we were done :)
Afterwards, we went to the area around the Tsutenkaku Tower (see last entry), which is famous for its cheap food stalls and small shops. After being a bit overwhelmed by the food choices, we decided to go to the sumo restaurant. Some people from the hostel were already there and recommended it. And they were right :D Very delicious. Okonomiyaki is a kind of pancake with lots of stuff in it (literal translation: fried leftovers). The next Osaka dish will probably be Takoyaki (octopus balls).
