'Cruise' & Bari

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 01.11.2022

Bari is a port city in southern Italy. It became part of our trip because the ferry from Greece ends here. Nevertheless, the stop was worthwhile and it was a very nice day.

However, it started a bit tiring. To get from Athens to the ferry in Patra (Greece), we took a train for a few hours and then continued by bus. When we arrived in Patra, we had to walk 'wonderful' five kilometers with our backpacks in the blazing sun. What we have learned in some cities now: The foot/bike unfriendly Vienna seems like a paradise compared to other cities.

Anyway, let's continue with the trip: The ferry was quite good. There was a casino with slot machines, a restaurant, a helipad, and most importantly: plenty of space to sleep. Luckily, the cinema-like room where we had our seats was almost empty and you could lie across several seats.

Arriving in Bari early in the morning, we had to drag our luggage through half the city after the long ferry ride. However, we were really lucky with the accommodation. Check-in was possible from 9 am and so there was time (finally) to take a shower and drop off our luggage before we went our separate ways.

For Maria, it was off to a tattoo artist from Bari. There is little to say about this, except that it looks great.

In the meantime, Kevin (successfully) went in search of a beach and authentic Italian food.

To shorten the blog post now: We met up again afterwards and enjoyed the day with good pizza, the beach, and lots of sunshine.
