Day 14: Norderney

Today, we didn't make any big jumps but continued to work on the continuation of our journey. We were able to plan ahead and book accommodations for almost two weeks. Many through 'vrienden op de fiets'.

In between, we took a walk through the town and did some shopping for tonight. Eating out is good and all, but putting together something ourselves is more fun. We keep changing our original menu plan due to lack of availability.

We visited an exhibition by several artists at Conversationshaus, which we really liked. We still have two pending phone calls to make for future accommodations, so it's quickly back to the office😉.

Time flies and we almost miss the beach walk with a beer afterwards. The wind is blowing like crazy, even the foam on the beer is blown away; we put on our jackets, brr... We see two sailing boats turning towards the harbor, the ferry to the island is having a hard time.

Tomorrow we will leave Norderney and travel towards Emden. Hopefully the weather will be in our favor.

Today, not much happened, we continued where we left off yesterday, with organizing. We have now been able to organize the sleeping places etc. for almost 2 weeks in advance, a lot with friends on bicycles!

We will do some shopping for dinner in the village, eating out is okay but making/sourcing something ourselves is much more fun! We have to change our original menu plan multiple times because not all ingredients are available on the island.

Afterwards, we visited an exhibition at Conversationshaus by several artists, which we really enjoyed, quickly going back to our "office" to make 2 phone calls that still needed to be made.😄

Time flies and we quickly head to the beach for a walk and a beer, there is a very strong breeze, so strong that the foam is blown off the beer! and so we put on our jackets! On the sea, 2 sailboats are fighting to reach the harbor....

After the beer at the Westerbar, we eat very deliciously from our own kitchen 🍅🌶️🥕🧅🥑🧀, and tomorrow it will be heading towards Emden.

Hopefully the weather will stay nice because we're going for another walk.
