From Irkutsk to Ulan Ude

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 27.05.2019

After a week's break from the Trans-Siberian, it's time to slowly get back on track. That's why we only have a short stage of 455 kilometers ahead of us. This will take us just over 7 hours.

The Angara River is the only outflow from Lake Baikal. Here in Irkutsk, near the train station.

Our train number 8

The route is very interesting and rises to almost 900 meters before winding down to Lake Baikal in several loops.

For each train journey, we were given a meal and depending on the mood of the staff, a different number of drinks.
This one was very generous with us.

The route followed the Baikal Lake for about 200 kilometers before we had to say goodbye to it.

We don't see as many babushkas offering food here during a short stop with a crossing.

Ready to go

But throughout the journey, we also saw a lot of trash...

We rarely saw developed roads from the train, here we are already near Ulan Ude.
